PROGRAMS WE OFFER

Our goal is to help the marginalized community with access to basic human needs ( water, appropriate clothing, hygiene products and food ), harm reduction / minimization, and assurance of safety ( through crisis intervention, peacekeeping,
safe walks, and search parties ).

COMMUNITY CARE CAMPS:

SCHEDULE: SEASONAL

Community Care Camps are temporary, 24-hour warming spaces we set up during periods of extreme cold weather to support our unsheltered relatives. Using a prospector tent, we create a safe and welcoming environment where people can come in, warm up, enjoy a hot meal and drink, and take a break from the harsh conditions. We also provide weather-appropriate gear to help them better withstand the cold once they leave.

COMMUNITY DADS

SCHEDULE: QUARTERLY

together, share their experiences, and navigate the challenges of parenting and fatherhood. The group provides a safe space to talk openly about concerns, explore healthy ways to manage and move through them, and support one another in becoming more present, confident parents. We also connect dads with resources, learning opportunities, and mentorship to deepen their understanding of parenting—especially for those who may not have had strong examples of care themselves. It’s about building connection, healing, and showing what caring looks like.

FURNITURE FORWARD

Download Form

Furniture Forward is dedicated to bridging the gap between generosity and need. We collect gently used, good-quality furniture from individuals and families in our community and deliver it directly to those transitioning out of homelessness, fleeing crisis situations, or starting over with limited resources. By giving unwanted furniture a new home, we help create safe, comfortable, and dignified living spaces for those in need—one home at a time.

MINDFUL MOVERS

Download Form

Mindful Movers is a group of compassionate community helpers who provide moving assistance to individuals and families in need. Whether it’s helping someone escape a crisis, transition into stable housing, or start fresh, we offer respectful, reliable support to make tough moves a little easier.

SOUP FOR THE SOUL SUNDAYS

SCHEDULE: Sundays 3pm @various locations

Soup for the Soul Sundays is a weekly event held every Sunday, serving over 300 individuals experiencing homelessness. More than just a warm meal, we provide essential items like clothing, shoes, and hygiene products in a welcoming, judgment-free space. It’s about nourishment, dignity, and community—offering comfort, connection, and care to those who need it most.

COMMUNITY SHARING CIRCLE

Schedule: Every Second Tuesdays 6pm @143 Smith st.

Our Community Sharing Circles are open and welcoming spaces for all—community members, youth, and anyone on our team. Each circle usually centers around a specific topic, and we take turns sharing our thoughts, stories, or reflections—only what feels comfortable to us. It’s a space for listening, connection, and support. Sharing Circles are a great way to build community, deepen understanding, and be heard in a respectful and non-judgmental setting. We often serve food or refreshments, and you’re always welcome to join. Check our social media for upcoming dates, times, and topics. We’d love to see you there.

RIVER WATCH

Schedule: Seasonal based on water levels Thursdays 4pm and Saturday 1pm @ Winnipeg Yacht Club

River Watch runs from June to September, with outings every Thursday and two shifts on Saturdays (weather and water levels permitting). During these patrols, we take youth out on the Red River by boat to help monitor the riverbanks and nearby encampments. Together, we check in on community members living along the river, offer support, hand out supplies, and call for emergency assistance when needed. It’s a hands-on way for youth to get involved, build connection, and give back to the community in a meaningful and respectful way.

HYDRATION STATION

Schedule: Response to extreme heat/ Event based

Our Hydration Stations are pop-up water stations we run throughout the hot summer months. These stations are set up in various locations across the city in response to the weather and community need. We collect donations of reusable water bottles and fill large Gatorade containers with cold, clean water for community members and relatives to access. Anyone is welcome to stop by, fill up a bottle. When reusable bottles aren’t available, we also hand out disposable ones. If you’d like to support this initiative, we gratefully accept donations of both reusable and disposable water bottles. Please drop them off at 143 Smith Street. Every donation helps keep our relatives hydrated and safe in the heat.

WALKS ON WEDNESDAY

Schedule: Wednesdays @5:30pm @605main st

Walks on Wednesday is a year-round (weather-permitting), weekly outreach rooted in community care. Every Wednesday, we walk through marginalized neighbourhoods to offer a steady and compassionate presence. Our team supports with community clean-up, harm reduction, and minor medical care when needed. We also provide basic necessities such as food, water, clothing, and hygiene items. More than a service, Walks on Wednesday is about meaningful connection. It’s a chance to build relationships, share space, and engage with our relatives who may simply need a kind conversation, a listening ear, or a reminder that someone cares.

OTHER PROGRAMMING

The CommUNITY204 Youth Mentorship Program is a mobile, relationship-centered initiative designed to foster trust, connection, and personal growth through meaningful engagement. Our team travels to both urban neighborhoods and rural communities, offering accessible programming that combines structured activities, team-based games, life skills development, and cultural relevance. While youth participate in fun and interactive sessions—complete with prizes, merchandise, and collaborative challenges—they are also supported in exploring deeper topics such as grief, trauma, emotional recognition, and self-regulation. This approach helps promote resilience, wellness, and identity development. At its core, the program is about building long-lasting, supportive relationships and empowering communities with the skills and resources to sustain their own youth programming, creating ripple effects that extend far beyond each session.

If you’re interested in learning more about how our Youth Mentorship Program can support the young people in your community, we invite you to reach out to us. Please contact us via email to discuss programming details, pricing, and how we can tailor our services to meet the unique needs of your youth—wherever they are.
